HBO’s Euphoria explores Cal Jacobs’ sexuality with a heartbreaking gay backstory.
Spoiler Alert ? In season two; episode three, the show’s resident villain Cal (Eric Dane) was given a gay origin story worthy of its own movie, tbh.
In a romantic flashback sequence, the symbol of toxic masculinity was seen exploring his sexuality with his high school friend – that is, until his girlfriend falls pregnant. The two boys share several cute moments, including a touching sequence in which the pair kiss on a dancefloor to INXS’s ‘Never Tear Us Apart’. But his rimming scene got fans shooked up even more.
This instalment is the latest in a long line of headline-grabbing moments for the show. Just last week, Eric Dane’s character was seen rimming a mystery extra – the identity of whom was later revealed on Twitter. Christin Byrdsong, the actor, described the experience as a ‘dream come true’.
