A BITE OUT OF OUR PINK WORLD www.pinkinourlives.com
Big congratulations to all participated in this year’s AIDS/Lifecycle from San Francisco. This group raised awareness and $16.3 million to fight HIV/AIDS. 2,430 riders and 620 volunteers covered 545 miles in seven days and they are all heroes.
It’s easy to think that HIV/AIDS is no longer a problem. Medications have come a long way, and people are living longer, healthier lives. This is why the work of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center is so vital. These agencies continue to provide the critical services and education needed to meet the growing needs of our community. They ride to raise awareness and knowledge about HIV/AIDS among participants, their donors, and the general public. They ride because their agencies need these funds more than ever. Ultimately, they ride so that someday, they won’t have to.
Here is a fabulous photo posted by San Francisco AIDS Foundation President Neil Giuliano from Sunday’s closing ceremonies.
