There are many places in this world to visit, prides to go to and enjoy, good restaurants to have dinner and many parties and shows to entertain us. And we know that all gays love this, don’t we?!?
That is why we have this section to tell you all about the beautiful places or where you can find great entertainment in our world. Off course we choose this all for the gay public, but it has to be straight friendly as well. We want a free and tolerant environment, where diversity and respect are highly valued. No prejudice to the straight people…… they were also born this way LOL
This time we have chosen for you the ambiance restaurant Mas’kara in Belgium. This restaurant is already well-known in the citylife of Antwerp. They were honoured in 2007 and 2008 for Best Entertainment Restaurant in Belgium. They offer you a total package with nice food, drinks, a great show and dancing. Mas’kara is definitely the place to be for a amazing Friday or Saturday evening full entertainment. A night you will never forget.
Last monday on the 28th of january it was the annual monday night in January where all the restaurants or pubs come to Mas’kara . These people can’t come on a Friday or Saturday to this ambiance restaurant and this evening is especially organized for them. This place exists almost for eleven years now, even during the time of crisis in Belgium. People can enjoy a good entertaining show with the finest showqueens and after that enjoy a great dance night with the DJ of the house. This Monday came 234 people watching their show (A full house) and it was like everytime a good show. We always go with a bunch of friends at least to these nights in January and in June and sometimes in between too. Every half year they bring a new show with performances of the best showqueens. They entertain you with look-a-likes, dance tunes, ballads and humor. Even the great leading lady and part owner Zsa Zsa Lamore gives up a stand-up comedian act that leaves the crowd with rolling tears of laughter down their cheeks. The way she tells the stories or jokes is in a way that no other showqueen does. She does not spare off course any of the guests with witty comments, rough language and obscene gestures, but it is all part of the act. You will love it!!!
Normally there are always three other “ladies” who join her on stage, but this time they had a special guest for the evening. Most guests on this monday night know her too, but for the reason that she had moved to London two years ago, nobody could have guessed that she was here. Yana international ( winner of the showqueen awards in 2008 and here on your left) came on stage and she did an outstanding performance with a number from the musical Sunset Boulevard. She was overwhelmed herself for all the attention and applause. She was glad to came back for this from London. And we were also happy to see her again too!!!
The other girls on stage were:
Star (here on your right): she did a great performance of Kylie and even a number of Lady Gaga starting with a piano on stage. Star is for almost eleven years also the regular understudy ,when another girl is sick or on vacation. She is a girl, who can entertain in various ways.
Sederginneke ( here on your left): a “girl” who is only 19 years old with a big mouth (literally). She brings a lot of laughs to the stage with her numbers. A special credit to her for this Monday, because she was still doing her acts, even though she had hurt her ankle on vacation in Thailand two weeks before. Hooray for the painkillers and that she could have been on stage 😉 It was hilarious.
Tonight also Vanessa Van Cartier (here on your right) shined on stage with numbers from Gladys Knight and Madame Butterfly. 
Vanessa was in 2010 miss of all misses showqueens in Belgium and she brings a variety of acts with lots of sparkle, glitter and glamour. She rocked the house and is terrific in everything she does.
This night she was not here, but from February the legendary drag queen will come back in Mas’kara: Liz Harley (here on your left). She is well- known for her superb and extravagant and mostly revealing outfits and her crazy rock on performances. Her husband Fernando and she are the other co-owners of this great venue.
And off course the leading lady of the house Zsa Zsa will not only welcome you when you arrive, but also talks the show like a perfect host through perfection. She is a real diva and well known in Antwerp and abroad. She is soon 20 year performing of stage, she acts, she can tell jokes, she can move ( a great persiflage of Gangnam Style on this night), she gives a lot of different acts and make the stage always her own. Most fear her, but she has a heart of gold. She gives it to the audiences straight and that makes that a lot of people always come back and enjoy the show. Not only Belgium people visit this dinner spectacle, but they have visitors from The Netherlands, Germans, English and even from the States who enjoy a good night out.
This ambiance restaurant can’ t survive offcourse without their whole staff and should get some extra credits too. Not only the great show, but also the female cook and great service of the waiters and bar staff make this venue a perfect night out for you to enjoy. So it is no surprise that a lot of bachelor parties, companies or just good friends come here for a night full of laughter and entertainment. They even had some weddings organized over there. The showqueens also perform outside Mas’kara and you can find them on studio 54 ( http://www.redandblue.be/studio54 ), in the gay discotheque red and blue (www.redandblue.be), Gay pride Antwerp of in most of the other gay pubs or clubs.
We were the last persons to leave last Monday and we had a great time from beginning to end with our bunch of 22 friends. These nights gather so many people every year and the crowd gets bigger and bigger. The fun starts already on these special nights with seeing all the friends together. One big gay family!!! With the drinks coming… and coming….
and coming next to a very naughty dessert (see picture), we had a fabulous time. 
Almost at the end the leading lady always asks if we want an extra number and before that she tells a little story. All though I have heard it so many times, it gives me goosebumps over and over again. But it is definitely the truth.
“There are so many wrong things happening on this earth, like 9/11, killings, rapes, bombing and child molesting. But one thing you can say about it, it was never done by a gay person. So when somebody still say homophobic remarks or kill the gays, please tell everybody about this evening and tell them that the gays are not that bad at all. Thank you and good night”
And then always starts the never boring end of the show. One of the showqueens Star start undressing and removing his wig and make –up to changing himself into the man he is on the song I am who I am !!!. Everybody gets in the mood with this final act and nobody was ready to go home immediately. So we didn’t 😉 😉 😉
