Annual Dinnershow from gay caterer Wesley Bleyaert, because his business exists 8 years already!!! We have been there last year for the first time, but were too late for dinner. This year we wouldn’t miss it. It was a dinner catered by Wesley off course and there are performances of several showqueens like Baby V, Chattelou, Marisa Allen and surprise artist Sascha Ryan (Miss Belgian Travestie 2013). Also will comedian/singer Luc Caals and singer Michael Lanzo entertain the crowd and the audience gets a special act from the caterer, his BF and a few friends as they will perform 2 numbers as the group “Gay Erection”. Getting excited already myself 😉
Like you already know we support our LGBT community and we want to show that we work as hard as any other person. This gay caterer (with lots of help from his lover and family) shows that with hard work and persistence you can make a business succeed. To celebrate this every year they give a spectacle to gain more clients and also show their pink side. If you deliver the goods, work hard and be friendly, then it doesn’t matter with who you share your bed.
The evening started with an all you can eat big buffet at 8pm and a performance of showqueen Tiki Bayou with the song “That’s what friends are for”. After the tummy filled with yummy the first part of the show started and it promised to be an entertaining evening with lots of humor, show, glitter and glamour. Many friends, family and some other showqueens were there to support caterer Wesley and we were glad to be amongst them all. During the break the girls sold tickets for a tombola and the big prices were a free night in a junior suite in DeKeyser Hotel in Antwerp and a 7 day vacation to Tenerife for 6 persons. Unfortunately we didn’t won that, but we brought home an icemaker 😉
The second part of the show started at midnight, but people were still in party mood, so the show kept delivering this to the end with a showstopper from the boys (Wesley Bleyaert, Davy van Laere, Yves Martens, Wesley Demey and Dempsey Wenes) themselves doing a parody number as boysband “Gay Erection” with special costumes. They did this as a joke for a friend’s birthday a few months before and decided to do this for the audience another time. The crowd got crazy and threw underwear on stage to these boys.
Wesley should be proud of his performers and guest artists because they gave all of themselves with beautiful costumes, entertaining songs or acts, it was never boring. Baby V performed as Jessy J., Chattelou as Tinkerbell and Tiki Bayou as Lilianne St.Pierre. Marisa Allen and Luc Caals made us really laugh and they are great improvisers and real artists.
We wish Wesley’s catering business all the best and we hope to see their 9th anniversary next year. If you are free then, make sure you will be there!!! You can book them off course through www.wesleybleayert.be And if you want to see more pictures of this fabulous night, look us up at Facebook for an extra photo album. Have a Yummy Pink Day
