As promised Pink In Our Lives will present the twelve candidates for Mister Gay Flanders 2015 in 
random order. As you could see on the press conference @ Red Star Line Museum (See article: http://pinkinourlives.com/2015/02/14/press-conference-mister-gay-flanders-2015/ ) There is a lot of diversity between the contestants and we are definitely looking forward to see who win the title and taking over the reign for a whole year from current title holder Willem Joris on the 30th of May 2015.
Every candidate got 5 questions from us to answer and you decide who you would love to win this year!!!
Skelte Willems is the eleventh candidate of this series and 
he is 20 years old and living in Aarschot. He works as a hairdresser and he came out of the closet since 2010.
Hi Skelte,
Why did you enter this competition and what do you want to achieve, when you become Mister Gay Flanders 2015?
“The reason of my participation is that I want to break the taboo around LGBT parenting and making the topic more talked about in the media. My goal is to help as many LGBT people to fulfill their dream to have a child.”
What makes you different from the other 11 candidates?
“We are 12 very strong candidates, so I am 
definitely of the opinion that we each have our trump card. But the biggest difference is the reason of the participation, most candidates stand for bullying. (which is also a major problem in the LGBT world)But I think we certainly should not forget other issues and not let this one overshadow! Such as LGBT parenting, a desire of mine and many other LGBT couples.”
If you can compare yourself to an animal, what would you be and why?
“If I would be an animal, then I’m definitely a fly. I’m someone who flies from here to there and can’t continue to be long on one place. I am also a very curious person and would like to be a fly here and there.”
Which person do you think is HOT/CUTE and would you love to get under the sheets with?
“The person I would like to share the sheets with is my partner Kevin. He knows perfectly what I like and our fantasies are the same.”
What would you like to change in our LGBT-community and how would you like to accomplish that?
“If I could change something in the gay world, then I would break all prejudices, show that we also just men and women are with feelings, wishes and dreams. This can happen by joining all our hands together and making our vision and voices heard. We are, after all, with more people than we think.”
