Olympic skier Gus Kenworthy, after already baring so much to us over the time on Instagram, comes out of the closet and announced he is GAY!!!
24 year old Olympic medaillist Gus revealed he is gay in a recent interview for ESPN Magazine. He said that 
he wanted to wait until he was the best in the world at freestyle skiing before opening up about his sexuality. The 24-year-old took home a silver medal at the Sochi games in Men’s freestyle skiing. He discussed in the interview the difficulties of denying his sexuality whilst at the games, often telling reporters he was straight – despite the fact that his boyfriend was there supporting him.
Gus even admits to submitting to machismo that is expected of male athletes by forcing himself to sleep 
with women. “I literally would sleep with a girl and then cry about it afterward,” he reveals. “I’m like, ‘What am I doing? I don’t know what I’m doing.’” “I was insecure and ashamed,” he says. “Unless you’re gay, being gay has never been looked at as being cool. And I wanted to be cool.” But now he is out and proud!!! He’s here to win, no matter who he chooses to love.
After news of Kenworthy’s coming out began to go viral, pop star Miley Cyrus posted a celebratory post on Instagram 
praising Kenworthy: “Never have I ever been prouder to call @guskenworthy my friend! ( and he’s a bad ass fucking Olympic athlete) He is showing all of us what it means to be courageous and PROUD of who we are! You have won so much more than any medal …. You have won FREEDOM! I can’t wait to see what you and I can do with@happyhippiefdn together! You are making it possible to shine light on the LGBTQ community in front of a whole new world! So much respect for you ? I looooove looooove looooove you! Ughhhhhhhhh heart is fluttering, feels like a million little cocoons just busted open and I am filled up with butterflies.”
