Gay couple make history with first ever Navy homecoming kiss!!!
A gay couple has made history after being chosen as the ceremonial kiss as shipmates disembarked from a Navy submarine. Petty Officer 2nd Class Thomas Sawicki was greeted by his boyfriend Shawn Brier at the Naval Base Point Loma. It was the first time a male same-sex couple was chosen for the ceremonial honor, which is decided by a lottery. Sawicki had been at sea on the USS San Francisco submarine for seven months before returning home and disembarking with shipmates.

Three men marry each other in Thailand, internet goes crazy!!!
The three men Joke, Bell and Art, who married each other on Valentine’s Day have become internet sensations in Thailand after photos from their pre-wedding shoot went viral. They were married in a traditional water-pouring ceremony at midnight on 15 February.
The photos show the trio in Thai and western wedding attire and the text on one reads: ‘Pure love cannot be seen by your eyes. If you want to know what its worth you have to see it with your heart.’
The wedding itself was a symbolic one as gay, and threeway, relationships are not recognized in Thailand. ‘Love occurs unconditionally and is not limited to only two people. Love brings peace to the world,’ Art commented on Facebook.

Mads Nissen’s intimate photo of a gay Russian couple has won the 58th annual World Press Photo of the Year award, recognizing the best in photojournalism. Taken from the Danish photographer’s project, Homophobia in Russia, the photo beat out nearly 100,000 other images to capture the 2014 title. In a year of global turmoil, the subtle image of St. Petersburg’s Jon and Alex — whom Nissen refers to as a “modern-day Romeo and Juliet” — stood out amongst violent scenes of protest, terrorism and general world-fuckery that has all but defined the news cycle as of late. It’s not a typical press image, but it’s an image that will affect millions of people across dozens of countries over the world. In a lot of countries, being gay is a very dangerous thing to be. In certain areas, they’re persecuted. It’s a picture of love and hate, but we see it off course as LOVE.

Newly renovated LGBT heart of NYC opens. The Center Relaunches!!!
New York City’s newly-renovated LGBT Community Center reopened on February 3, 2015, with an official ribbon-cutting and unveiling celebration. Established in 1983, New York City’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center building is located in the West Village neighborhood of Manhattan and is visited by more than 300,000 people each year. The Center’s mission is to empower all members of the community to lead healthy, successful lives. The Center embraces diversity and advocates for justice and equality. Please visit gaycenter.org. After undergoing a $9.2 million dollar renovation, the city and Board of Directors proudly presented the new and improved Center to the community, as guests toasted the occasion with St. Germain cocktails. The final speech of the evening was delivered by LGBT icon and marriage equality pioneer, Edie Windsor, a recent Curve cover girl. To honor Windsor’s landmark trial, which changed the course of marriage in this country, the Center’s new coffee shop bears her name and that of her late wife, Thea Spyer.
