Samuel L Jackson to play first gay role in Stephen King film CELL.

LGBTI advocate with the highest grossing film total of all time once said he would never play gay or kiss a man on film, but Hollywood’s favorite cool, tough guy Samuel L Jackson is cast in what could be his first ever gay role. will portray Tom McCourt, an openly gay engineer who used to serve in the army. In Stephen King’s novel, McCourt flees Boston alongside New England Artist Clay Riddell, who is desperate to reunite with his son after a phone signal turns the Earth’s population into mindless vicious animals.

American Horror Story actor Alexander Dreymon played a gay role in the past in the BBC television film Wrestling with Caspar. He played a gay GERMAN prostitute.The film is based on the memoir by Christopher Isherwood (played by Dr. Who star Matt Smith) who meets a rentboy named Caspar (Dreymon)at a seedy gay club in Berlin. They have a tumultuous affair until Caspar abruptly disappears. Christopher does not see him until many months later and is horrified to see that he has joined the Nazis. Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD gets lesbian character!!

Actress Saffron Burrows will play lesbian comic book character Victoria Hand in next week’s episode of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. The first time an openly LGBT Marvel character has been portrayed on screen . Saffron is a bisexual herself and makes her debut in the coming week, so her role will probably be recurring in the television show. Victoria Hand first appeared in The Invincible Iron Man #8 as SHIELD’s accountant, and the character was killed off in comic books in December of 2012.
