ORTHODOX PRIESTS 2017: P.I.L.F
The year 2016 is over and 2017 is here to stay. Did you buy your calendar already?. Somewhere to write down the next party, your sexy date or gaycation or just your new fitness schedule!!! PINK IN OUR LIVES will show each day in January a new calendar that you could use at home to hang in your room, toilet or bathroom. Most of them give their proceeds to a good cause, so your family won’t think you are just a horny little devil. Maybe that’s why you should have more than one new calendar hanging around.
This is the fifth calendar of Orthodox Priests and this installment is arguably the raciest one yet with hunky models getting into some very NSFW positions while surrounded by religious iconography.
The Romanian team behind the wickedly sinful “Orthodox Priests” calendars is back with their 2017 effort, “P.I.L.F.,” or “Priests I’d Like To F*ck.” While the imagery is certainly meant to titillate and shock, the calendar isn’t just about eye candy.
OC (Orthodox Calendar) is the title of wall calendars and videos first published in 2012, featuring nude and semi-nude photographs of members of the Orthodox Church. The calendar is the brainchild of a group composed mostly of Orthodox eastern Europeans of the former communist region. The primary goal was to create the very first organized global effort against homophobia in the Orthodox Region. At the same time, the calendar takes an ironic approach to the Orthodox Church itself, which in recent years has been embroiled in artist repression, questionable behavior and homophobia.
Through their unconventional and bold images, OC’s creative Team seeks to counteract the negative and outdated influences of most of the Orthodox Church leadership. While recognizing that change might not come quickly to the official Orthodox Church position, OC nonetheless believes that at least it can encourage people (believers or not) to reflect and realize that there is an urgent need for an update in values as part of the modern society.
“The [Orthodox] church has lost its way and is desperately trying to prevent hundreds of millions of people living in modern societies that respect human rights,” says Magdalena De Iona, press representative for the calendar. “We’d like to think that our art could empower people to question traditional forms of authority.”
Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Orasul Meu (or “My City, My Colors”), a local NGO that provides health care for disadvantaged youth.
