Gay lifestyle OutTv reporter Jens Geerts got a magical shock when he got surprised this week in Dutch Theme Parc “De Efteling”.

The Efteling in Kaatsheuvel Holland is one of Europe’s Best theme parc like Eurodisney and has besides many thrill attractions also a magical fairytale Forest. Jens was there about the new Attraction roller coaster “Baron 1898” for OutTv, although he didn’t understand what this attraction had to do with anything gay. But they assured him that such a fancy and trendy rollercoaster is definitely something for the LGBT community.

Unexpected Jens does his thing and remembered out loud that his last time here was with his boyfriend Radio Joe FM presenter Robin Vissenaekens. They have been a couple for eight years now. The crew tells Jens that the Efteling wants a role play to show the atmosphere of the Fairytale Forest. Jens still has no clue.

 

Jens has to read a letter on a bench in the forest and after some rehearsals they gonna tape the whole scene. In the meanwhile his boyfriend Robin has come closer and hid himself behind Cinderella. But then suddenly out of the blue and unrehearsed Jens got a second letter to read out loud and when he reads strangely looking: “The heart a dazzling thief wants to steal is my heart. And he is…..right behind me…..”

Jens frooze completely and Robin comes behind the dress of Cinderella and drops on one knee. After a few sweet words, he takes a ring and asks the magical words: “will you marry me?”

First no reaction and silence, but then Jens got over the shock and breaks the silence with a definite YES!!! Off course some pictures were made and a ride the Baron rollercoaster had to be taken first, but then they went off in the sunset to tell their family the good news.

Congratulations from Pink In Our Lives and from myself and my man René (who is a collegue of Jens at OutTv) We know Jens and Robin a few years already and De Efteling is the right place for Robin to go on his knees for Jens. We wish them a happy engagement and are sure that the fairytale proposal will end in a magical wedding in 2016.
