A BITE OUT OF OUR PINK WORLD www.pinkinourlives.com
Hey squirrel friends. This second season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars has us shaking of excitement and craving for more! Five episodes has passed till the big finale/reunion and the latest one got more surprising and twisted than we could have imagined. Gagging for more!!!
If you haven’t seen any of these moments (By the way under which rock did you crawl out under???), then this Pinkbit contains spoilers and we advise to stop reading further.
If you’re tuned into the Drag Race universe, you know there’s a lot going on. First the shocker that the queens have to eliminate out their competition themselves instead of Mama Ru and the surprise exit of fan favorite Adore Delano by herself. But also now the coming back of 4 eliminated queens to getting their Ru-venge on their “sisters” in a sensational way. We love it and were sitting on the edge of our couch when this happened in episode 4.
This meant also that cosplay queen extraordinaire, Phi Phi O’Hara, has emerged as this season’s villain. Whether that’s by her own hand, or because of editing, we’ll leave that for you to decide. Either way, Phi Phi has been quite vocal about how displeased she is with the final cut of All Stars 2. She’s even gone as far to say that she will not be returning for the season finale/reunion/crowning extravaganza. As desperate as Phi Phi was for a “Ru-demption” tale this season, she appeared to step on her own foot/get in her own way, time and time again.
On social media, Phi Phi found herself on the receiving end of an insane amount of bullying/badgering/trolling and even death threats. We don’t approve with this type of behavior or actions. It is just a reality show to entertain us and these queens give us all the best. As Alyssa Edwards famously said, “It’s not personal, it’s drag!” Remember that the show was already taped last February and the promotion tour with most of the queens were last month. Phi Phi was always there with the other girls, so we think it will be fine and this gives an extra publicity for the show and all the queens. Their social media is booming and getting them in the spotlight again. We love it and is great to see them all again.
It appears that Phi Phi may be ready to leave drag behind. Jaremi Carey, the man behind the queen, has begun a rebranding effort that spans across various social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, where apart from his 365 Days of Drag series, his “boy self” seems to be slowly pushing Phi Phi out of the way. In addition to the rebrand, Jaremi revealed that he’s releasing new music as his guy self and here is his sexy new debut/music video, “Play.”
This fifth episode was all you can dream for. The booted queens came back with a vengeance and a great entrance, which stirred up the fire immediately between Phi Phi and Alyssa Edwards. With a comedy act as Maxi Challenge for the guuuurllssss, both Alyssa and Tatianna slayed it as returning queens. They had a sickening lipsync to Rihanna’s “Shut Up And Drive” and got the chance to BOTH rejoin the competition. Which was so deserved, because like Rupaul we could not make a decision either. Both queens also decided that Miss O’Hara got the chop, which lead more fuel to the fire, but made it an exciting episode. We look forward what will happen next and are glad that Alyssa Edwards and Tatianna are back in the game..
As for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, we look forward and are excited to see how the rest of this season unfolds. We are glad that Alyssa and Tatianna are back and we will be glued to our television for the finale/reunion on October 13. Who will snatch the crown and whether or not Phi Phi will be there to join the dazzling queens.
