Mr. Gay World Puerto Rico claims prestigious Mister Gay World™ 2022 title!

After a grueling week of radio, media interviews, special appearances, photo shoots, charity drives and presentation of their social responsibility campaigns presentations, Mr Gay World™ Puerto Rico, José Lopez clinched the title of Mr Gay World™ 2022. The first runner-up was Mr Gay World™ United States of America, Tony Ardolino and the second runner-up Mr Gay World™ Germany, Max Appenroth. A total of eight delegates made it to the grand finale of this year’s event.

In reflection to this year’s live event, Mr Eric Butter, President and Founder of Mr Gay World™ organization highly impressed by this well-organized event and by the caliber of delegates. This year’s competition amplified the need for greater visibility to the wider LGBTI+ community. The entrant of Germany made global history as being the first transgender delegate in the finals of any international contest.

According to Butter, Mr Gay World™ should not even be seen as a pageant. Mr Gay World™ is collective space to see the coming together of the gay men across the world, to share an international stage and amplify their purpose in sole pursuit of equal access to human rights, social and political acceptance, tolerance, and inclusion.
