LEATHERPRIDE BELGIUM 2014

With no Prides in the winter outdoors, you think it would be some boring cold months. But you can still find some fun in Antwerp, Belgium . The 5th edition of Leather Pride Belgium 2014 from the 5th till the 10th of February made us getting hot and sweaty a few days ago. It is not because we associate Pink faster with the LGBT community, that we do not like the good smell of Black Rubber or Leather. So let’s find out….

There were a few big parties like Rage or Perverts in Petrol, but also the expo of everything related to fetish was held in Waagnatie called Darklands. As my boyfriend had to make a report for Outtv Network I tagged along to find out more about Darklands. Darklands is like a big market where you can find everything around fetishes like attributes, leather clothing, underwear, darkroom and information booths. There is also a stage, where they perform acts, play DJ sets and held also the Mister Leather Belgium 2014 contest.

As a blogger of the LGBT community I wanted to see “what makes people blood pump” and what get them all excited or horny. This event is mostly for people to get together, who have the same interests or who are just curious like us and trying to get to know all about it. Walking around there I was surprised that I knew a lot of people, but that I didn’t know that some of them are really into leather or rubber or that they were curious like me. Darklands had many different vendors in different booths for everybody like Boxer barcelona, Aviator, Mister B., Dark-Ink, Carrara Design, Photographer Taco Smit, Black & Blue and many more. Also they held different open and closed workshops for people to experience like Hair Corner, Sensoa and Mister Rubber NL.

There are so many different fetishes like bondage, leather, rubber, military, sneakers and so on and on….. Mostly men (and even some women) walked around and nothing was strange for them. They were curious, had an open mind and felt intrigued about this all. It was fascinating to see all kinds of people that look during a workday so “normal” and here they are totally different (even maybe more themselves than anywhere else. How great is that, because don’t we all like to be just ourselves). Off course what is normal and what is not? Is it strange, because you don’t know it or haven’t experienced it (yet)? I am not judgemental and can say that some things aren’t turning me on or are not my cup of tea. (or should I say: I don’t feel any movement below my waist LOL)

People walking there around just naked or on hand and knees like a dog attached to their “owner”. People are getting tied up in ropes or sucked vacuum in a wall of latex, I just saw it all. I had to try something out for my readers off course and I found the AVIATOR. It is almost like a sling, but then only with 2 cables hanging on your ceiling and you hang in there with your face looking down to the ground . You feel like you are flying in the sky, if you put a blindfold on. Your partner can play with you, spank you, take you from behind and so on. Around 16.00 there was also the Mister leather Belgium 2014

competition and the 4 contestants had to give a speech why they are the perfect candidate to win and show why they are the perfect Mister Leather. Around 18.00 the winner of this contest got announced and it was Nordine Bassista from Brussels. He got congratulated by other winners from other countries and off course by the winner of 2013 Alessandro Cruz.

Because of other obligations I didn’t get to experience some of the parties, but I heard they were pretty amazing. One of the party animals told me also that the crowd is getting younger too in the last few years and that more people like to find or even show their fetishes this year. There were several parties throughout the days on different locations. The organization provided shuttle buses to bring the crowd safely, where ever they wanna go. My compliments to the organization of Mister Leatherpride Belgium and all their staff, volunteers and all the people who were involved. People really enjoyed themselves and they can be proud on their 5th edition of the Leather Pride Belgium.

There was only one complaint on one party that the Darkroom was too small….LMFAO. Yes, boys will be boys in whatever Fetish mood they are 😉
