Let Love Be Love ?? ???? #pinkinourlives

After a week of Prides in Amsterdam and Antwerp, we start again our daily jobs and routine. For us it was a huge week working at the Prides and we had an amazing time. But we also have to stand still to the fact that with all the love that was shared, we also have to keep fighting! ?

Normally we use our website and social media only for the fun and happy side of our community. This time we can not hold back while we also stand for equality, love, diversity and that everybody has the right to be who they wanna be!

Unfortunately the world does not always see it this way or accept everybody.

This Antwerp Pride was the theme #notjustwords, because negative words or nasty comments that are shouted, written on social media or out spoken publicly can always hurt someone. Think before you speak (and write)!!! This can change a dialogue or conversation.

Also this Pride was no exception that we have heard mean slurs at the sideline of events, harsh comments or words on our social media or that we have information that people got beaten. ?? This is not acceptable in any way. (Just got the message that even bisexual Irish Olympic Athlete Jack Woolley got beaten by twelve people this weekend! ? Really why oh why people?)

As Brand Ambassadors and social media moderators we still have noticed that outside, and unfortunately also within our community, there is still a lot of hate, ignorance and injustice. That is why a Pride is still necessary these days. We are not there yet!

You don’t always have to agree with someone, but be respectful, no (gay)bashing and try to communicate in a civil way to understand each other. Celebrate Pride and let LOVE BE LOVE please!
