RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16 is set to premiere on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 8pm ET on MTV. Unlike the first airing of season 15, all episodes of season 16 will have the traditional 90-minute runtime, followed by 30-minute Untucked episodes.
The grand premiere of Drag Race season 16 will be split into two parts. These episodes will feature the variety show maxi challenge with themes like “MTV’s Spring Breakers” and “Queens Choice Awards.” After the variety show, a new twist called “Rate-A-Queen” will ask the queens to rank each other’s performances to determine the tops and bottoms of the week. With a grand prize of $200,000 on the line, the stakes have never been higher for this brand-new cast of Drag Race stars!
