PINK PERSON OF THE MONTH JANUARY 2013

Every month there will be a feature about a Pink male or female person of the month, who has done something for or in the gay community. This can be a person who is coming out of the closet, someone supporting for equal rights for gays or well maybe just because we love him or her for being themself and showing that we all are the same human beings.

The first one of the month january is actor Matt Dallas. He came out of the closet at the end of december 2012. Matt quietly slipped out a brave and touching message to his thousands of followers on Twitter: Starting off the year with a new fiancé, Blue Hamilton. A great way to kick off 2013!”

A double like from Pink in our lives, because not only he shows his true sexuality but also reminds us that same sex-marriages are still not legal in some countries and in many States of America. Actors, who are in the spotlight, are showing that there is a need for acceptance and their coming out is an extra statement. I do not care if they do not want to tell about their private life, because it is what it is. But if they do shout it out, people will recognize that we are everywhere and we are all just as normal as everyone else.

MATT DALLAS

Matt Joseph Dallas was born at October 21^st in 1982 and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona (USA). He is the eldest of four, 2 brothers and one sister. Matt graduated from Paradise Valley High School and briefly attended Arizona School for the Arts. All his brothers are all into sports. However, he was never just that into sports and one day, a theater company came to town and his grandma took him to an audition for The Ugly Duckling. Ever since that first day he knew that was what he wanted to do. He moved to L.A. as soon as he turned 18 and started to persue his dreams of becoming an actor .

His big break came with the series Kyle X (2006-2009). After just five years in LA, he got to play the lead role, Kyle, in ABC Family’s “Kyle XY”. After three successful seasons and various awards and nominations, the show got cancelled in 2009. Matt then starred in six episodes of ABC’s “Eastwick” as Chad, Roxie’s (Rebecca Romijn) love interest. He also got to star in ABC Family’s TV movie Beauty and the Briefcase in 2010 as one of Hilary Duff’s suitors. Beauty and the Briefcase got nominated for Best Family TV Movie at the People’s Choice Awards. Matt can also been seen in such movies as Living The Dream, Wannabe, Camp Daze, and Way of The Vampire.

He has also appeared on the hit TV show Entourage as a male model. In 2005, Dallas starred with Mischa Barton in James Blunt’s music video for Goodbye My Lover. He also appeared in the music video Thinking of You by Katy Perry. Other works are a commercial for Arizona Jeans denim jeans.

Matt was involved over the years with numerous charities like Autism, Generosity Water, Unicef’s Tap project and more. He is also very environmentally aware and active in his daily life. His love for animals is also very noticeable. His pet dog “Sebastian” was rescued by Matt’s friends and later adopted by the amazing actor.

Matt loves watching movies in his spare time. He also loves camping, skiing, hanging out with his friends and family. He says he’s a huge dork. He spends a lot of time trying to pretend that he’s cool, but he’s a huge dork. It’s important to him to have fun and be goofy and play around.

The 26-year-old Dallas had not publicly come out as gay until December 2012, but there had been speculation about his sexuality for years. In early 2009, he was linked to “Mean Girls” actor Jonathan Bennett, from whom he reportedly split that same year.

He and Blue Hamilton (a musician and music industry executive) have been together for several years. With the prospect of a future marriage on the horizon, 2013 has started out beautifully for them.
