PINKIE AWARDS 2013 PART ONE!!!

It is already a new year, but we haven’t forgotten 2013 off course. Therefore it is time to see what got us hard……uhm I mean excited within the LGBT Community in 2013 LOL. See here the first part our favorites of 2013 and let’s give them our first Pinkie Awards, the awards, that show our appreciation and support for everything in our Gay life.

Best Reality Show:RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE SEASON 5

This is so obvious after 5 seasons and with coming up season 6 this February the 24^th. This reality show is still refreshing, entertaining and so much fun to watch at after all these years, so it deserves this Pinkie 2013 Award. It brought us great characters and inspirations.

Rupaul’s funny quotes, Michelle Visage’s remarks and the many crazy outfits, catfights, beautiful creations makes this show a definitely something to put on your TO WATCH LIST!!!

Favorite Female Of The Year:Ellen Degeneres Ellen has been a comedian all her life with stand- up comedy, her own comedy series and now with her talk show called Ellen, she is everywhere. She will also be hosting the Oscars this 2014, showing her relationship with Portia de Rossi is still solid and giving her audience a special treat all the time (shirtless men, gifts, candid interviews). She has always been an openly lesbian and with this kind of exposure in 2013 she definitely deserves the Pinkie 2013 Award.

Best Wedding Proposal Of The Year:Spencer’s home depot marriage proposal to Dustin: Dustin arrived at the Home Depot in Salt Lake City thinking he was there to help his roommate pick out some lighting for a party. When he was taken to the lumber aisle, what he found waiting for him was a mob of friends and family as his marriage proposal unfolded to the song, “Somebody Loves You” by Betty Who.

Best Gay Magazine in 2013: Attitude UK

The first issue of attitude appeared in May 1994. Attitude is a British gay lifestyle magazine owned by Attitude Media Ltd. It is sold worldwide as a physical magazine and as a digital download. The magazine frequently acquires exclusive interviews within the gay market and is often themed, notably with a celebrity naked issue which featured amongst others Max Beesley, Philip Olivier and Will Mellor. In July 2005 the magazine launched fashion supplements as a spin off publication. The March 2010 issue was themed as the titles first older issue with EastEnders star John Partridge on the cover. They had so many big stars for exclusive interviews like Daniel Radcliff, Madonna and the then Prime Minister Tony Blair and the only gay press interview with the late Heath Ledger.

Best NEW TV Show:Devious Maids

Devious Maids is an American television comedy-drama series created by Marc Cherry, produced by ABC Studios and executive produced by Cherry and Eva Longoria.The showfollows four maids with ambition and dreams of their own, while they work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills, California. But then a maid died and a fifth woman applies for a maid job, but with her own agenda. The show is a bit like desperate housewives (which Marc Cherry also wrote) and has the fun sexy stuff and great characters too. It is exciting, mysterious and entertaining. And the cast play their roles perfectly. You definitely learn some new one-liners and it will be must see for your eyes too. ;o)

More coming outs in the sports department to show that your sexual preference will not stand in your way to become a professional athlete. More straight allies who support our community and stand up for our rights too. Fights against homophobia in many countries and making sure that being gay isn’t a crime!!! And last but not least just love whoever comes on your path and respect each other. Be who you are and proud of it!!!
