TEN SHOWS THE LGBT COMMUNITY HAVE TO SEE FOLLOW THIS FALL

It’s Fall and new shows came out after the summer of re-runs. I checked out some new shows for you that at least has some interest for you. Will it be for the stories, their LGBT characters or just the hot girls and guys? You have to decide for yourself, but here is the top ten (not in a particular order):

The McCarthys: The series features Tyler Rittertyler-ritter as Ronny, a 29-year-old openly gay man and his close-knit working class family, among them two brothers (Jimmy Dunn and Joey McIntyre joey mcintyre(NKOTB), a sister (Kelen Coleman) and his mother (Laurie Metcalf), who bonds with her gay son over episodes of The Good Wife. Ritter’s father (Jack McGee), a basketball coach, tries to hire his un-athletic son as his assistant, and gay and Boston stereotypes will follow afterwards. joey-mcintyre-the-mccarthysthe mccarthysThe family is uber-supportive of Ronny being gay and the show has some fun with stereotypes as well as how the family often is a bit too enthusiastic about Ronny possibly finding love in his life. Writer and actor Brian Gallivan is perhaps best known for his viral YouTube series Sassy Gay Friend, where he portrays a sassy gay friend giving advice to doomed female characters from history and literature.

LADIES OF THE SERIES GOTHAM

Gotham: It centers on James Gordon ben mckenzie(played by Ben McKenzie of the OC) during his early days as a rookie detective in the Gotham City Police Department, but it’s the rich cast of characters that breathes new life into this rendering of the famous fictional city. The characters such as the Latina lesbian detective Renee Montoya (played by Victoria Cartagenavictoria cartagena), mob boss Fish Mooney (played by Jada Pinkett Smithjada pinkett) and a surprise reveal of a bisexual character in the pilot episode gives it already a special LGBT touch. It sets a new standard for diversity in a prime-time series based on a mainstream superhero, although the leather-dressed hunk Batman will not be in it.

marry me01Marry Me: Series is about following a couple Annie and Jake (played by Casey Wilsoncasey wilson and Ken Marinoken marino) as they make their way from engagement to the alter. They are a couple who have dated for six years and decide to take the plunge and get married. Wilson’s character just so happens to have been raised by two dads, both named Kevin and promisingly played by Tim Meadowstim_meadows and Dan BucatinskyDanBucatinsky. More gay characters may come, possibly the lesbian who provided the egg from which Annie was created!

I want them to have all three of those happening simultaneously. Maybe the show can do something that hasn’t been done before.”

Grant Gustingrant gustin (best known for playing gay Warbler Sebastian on Glee) will play Barry Allen AKA The Flash. The superhero series will feature at least two gay characters in the first season already. One of them will be the Flash villain known as Pied Piper, who was one of the first characters to come out of the closet in the pages of a DC comic. The other will be David Singh (played by Patrick Sabonguipatrick sabongui), another gay DC Comics character who makes his appearance in the show’s first episode. young people battling life-threatening illnesses with all the wit, grace, awkwardness, and shade one might expect from a group of teenagers. Gay actor and GLAAD spokesman Wilson Cruz provides some sass as an out nurse Kenji on the floor housing the group of unlikely friends, brought together by their extended stays in the hospital. Kenji has also a long past with Nurse Jackson. Hospital newcomer and seemingly archetypal mean girl and cheerleader Kara Sounders will reveal that she has two moms, one of whom will be played by Andrea Parker.

Kingdom: A series about Mixed Martial Arts fighters was

MATT LAURIA
MATT LAURIA

interesting already for seeing the guys (Frank Grillo, Nick Jonas and Matt Lauria) getting in great shape and fighting with their shirts off. Yes, YOU love it too! But it sounds like that we’ll be getting more since the news came by Nick Jonas that he will be naked and there could also be some sexuality-based stories with his character. Are you getting more curious now like me?? ;o) We will see, but a possibly bi-sexual Nick Jonas? BRING IT ON!!! At least we got to see already some hot booties and Nick Jonasnick-jonas-kingdom3 having sex (with a woman by the way for now) in thefirst few episodes

Jane-the-VirginJane The Virgin: A teen girl (yes, she’s a virgin) ends up pregnant. You have to watch the pilot to know exactly how it happens, but star Gina Rodriguezgina_rodriguez_0 is beyond winning in the title role of Jane. She finds out she’s going to be a mother at the same time the father she never knew (Played by Jaime Camiljaime camil) unexpectedly shows up. To complicate things further, Jane has a fiancé but also has a spark with who basically is her Baby Daddy (sexy Justin BaldoniJustin Baldoni Abs Flowrider). The gay character is the lesbian doctor of Jane’s as well as one of Jane’s friends, who you’ll meet in the second episode. Jane The Virgin premiered on October 13th on the CW.

Faking-ItFaking It: Its first season dove head-first into very real issues about female friendship and discovering one’s own sexual orientation in a turned-on-its-head high school where it’s cool to be accepting of everyone. Girl meets girl, they become besties, then pretend to be a lesbian couple to appear more interesting at their liberal high school, one friend falls for the other, and then they nearly engage in a threesome with the other friend’s hot boy crush.

Friends Karma (Katie Stevenskatie stevens) and Amy (Rita Volkrita volk) locked in a staged, celebratory make-out session as the student body has just elected them homecoming queens. It’s an aha moment for Amy when she realizes not only does she like kissing her best friend, but she might also be a little in love with her. As things progress, Karma could not be more clueless about Amy’s affection, pretending to be Amy’s girlfriend while pining for the school hottie Liam (Gregg Sulkin). Once realizing her same-sex attraction, Amy enlists the help of her GBF, Shane (Michael J. Willett, openly out starMichael+J+Willett), to help her navigate her newfound feelings. This year there’s an intersex character mean girl Lauren (Bailey De Youngbailey de young), which is essentially unheard of on series television and offers a lot of potential.

How-to-Get-Away-WIth-MurderAND FINALLY THE ONE YOU CAN’T MISS: How To Get Away With Murder:

VIOLA DAVIS
VIOLA DAVIS

This series might be set in a prestigious law school setting, but the set up in the pilot is juicy!!! And like any good first episode, by the end of the first hour, you have an idea not only of what this show is but who all our characters are, especially lawyer/professor Annalise Keating (played by Viola Davis), who is not above being embroiled in the drama at hand. Viola Davis is making her way to the small screen to star in the series as a lawyer and professor who becomes entwined in a murder plot with her students. One of whom is openly gay Connor Walsh (Jack Falaheejack falahee), who judging from the pilot promises to be one the most interesting LGBT characters on television. He seduces another man in order to solicit information and provides steamy, sexy scenes.
How To Get Away With Murder: Connor Gay Make Out Scene:

HAVE A PINK DAY AND MAY THIS ALL KEEP YOU WARM DURING THE COLD EVENINGS. RUB AGAINST YOUR PARTNER OR INVITE YOUR LGBT FRIENDS AND STRAIGHT ALLIES TO WATCH TOGETHER!!!

Big kis,
