Who could believe when they started ten years ago that the Antwerp Pride in Belgium got so big and 
wonderful like last week? Dreaming about this from the start in 2007, the organization can be very proud of their latest edition called LoveUnited. They closed gaps and crossed bridges with everybody working together and making this tenth edition a great one.
It was for us also the first time that we got to work with Antwerp Pride to do a part of the social media for 
them together with singer and entertainer Dimitri Vantomme. There was no special theme this year, just simply “loveunited”. And they really tried to connect people in several ways. With the Love United Festival and Pridenight the organizers wanted many clubs, people, drags, companies etc. to work together and trying to be one big happy family.
The Festival was combined also in two stages to appeal to a huge crowd and many liked this much better than the 
years before. Different music choices and entertainment during the evening made this free Festival a-can’t-miss-event during the Pride. ? With the Love United stage several dragqueens came to perform together on one stage with Bang Bang LaDesh leading the pack. ?Another inspiration to put away all the jealousy and judgements and unite as one group together under the name Drag Queens United Belgium. Both stages had several Deejays and performers from different party events joined together and showed a diversity again combined with professionalism.
With Pridenight different club organizers created one party night for everybody’s liking. ? One venue with 3 different rooms (Propaganda, Extravaganza and Café De Love) to entertain the crowd. 
It didn’t matter if u were gay, lesbian, bear, jock, twink or even if u were straight, you would find some way to enjoy yourself. Dancing till dawn, cruising the rooms for fun or just watching the LGBTI community unite, it was a great initiative and a huge success.
During Antwerp Pride there were many activities like for example The Exhibition, Antwerp Queer Arts Festival
, The Openings Reception, Symposium, Midsummerparty, Parade, Love United Festival, Pridenight and the Closing Festival with artists like Belle Perez
, Stan Van Samang and Sarah Bettens
, Sven Ratzke, Lilianne St. Pierre and of course Army Of Lovers. With an app, especially made for this Pride, you stayed informed and it made sure you wouldn’t miss anything.
More than 100.000 people from all over the world came to Antwerp for Pride Weekend and made this 
edition a huge success. The set up was great, well-organized and with lots of respect towards each other. Our final thoughts are why do we have to wait another year for this again?? ?Besides that the weather rained on our parade a bit ?, we could feel the love and see the rainbow shining everywhere!!! ? Antwerp Pride succeeded what they wanted to achieve this tenth year anniversary and we look forward to next year. HAPPY PRIDE again to everyone!!!
