In February 2016 is another edition of the Leather Pride in Antwerp/Belgium and the mood is already been set with the voting for the third edition of the X-Awards.

The X-Awards aim to place the public focus on people, companies and organizations that have contributed to the development and prosperity of the European gay fetish scene. They honor and reward European actors and initiatives in the gay fetish scene in various categories. The nominations are here and you can vote now till the 30th of January 2016.

Through the X-Awards they try (and succeed) to create a dynamic that contributes to a better future for gay fetish enthusiasts in Europe. This Award show wants to help remove the stigma surrounding fetish and work towards tolerance and acceptance within society. At Sunday the 21st of February 2016, the award ceremony will be held at the Darklands festival in Antwerp, Belgium.

THE NOMINEES ARE:

MAN OF THE YEAR:

Pieter Claeys: For preserving European fetish history with leatherhistory.eu and his battle for PrEP.
Kevin Murphy: For being 2nd at IML, role model for many young leather men across Europe.
Arnaud Houesnard: For being a hardworking, very present and supportive European ambassador.
John ‘O Brien: For being a sponsor, a mentor, an activist for the Same Sex Marriage proposal in Ireland

CLUB OF THE YEAR:

Geared Ireland: For being a young pure fetish club grow by the dedication of the organizers and volunteers
Leatherwest: For hosting the first UK Leatherpride and growing leather culture in the UK.
Leather Friends Italy: For being extremely active and visible in the European community.
Leatherhistory.eu: For capturing and preserving the European history of the leather community.

BUSINESS OF THE YEAR:

The Boots Antwerp: For being a true haven, dedicated and collaborating with various fetish actors.
Recon: For supporting fetish events across Europe providing visibility for the community.
La Mine Paris: For being a friendly and open bar and very active in the community. A must-do in Paris.
