English actor Ben Aldridge, 34, came out publicly in an Instagram post.
Ben Aldridge, best known to U.S. viewers for his recurring role as, yes, ‘Arsehole Guy’ in Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s “Fleabag”, but also with the prequel to Batman “Pennyworth”, and with the BBC series “Our Girl”.
Ben writes: “The journey to pride was a long one for me. I love the LGBTQ+ community and am incredibly proud and thankful to be a part of it. So much won. So much more to fight for.”
Aldridge actually posted another pride message on Instagram two years ago, but he stopped short of actually coming out, simply wishing people a “happy pride.”
Aldridge graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and in 2014 he was cast in The CW’s series Reign as King Antoine of Navarre.
Congratulations to him for living his truth! He’s here and he’s queer! Happy pride!!!
