Everyone loves photos of hunky men in their skivvies, especially when it’s for a good cause! The Boxers 2019 Calendar, featuring the bartenders from New York’s (and Philadelphia’s) favorite gay sports bar, is twelve months of perfection that will put a smile on all faces every day of the new year.
If you have ever been to any of the Boxers locations, you know that America’s Gay Sports Bar is more than the pool tables, tap beers, brick oven pizzas and 2-for-1 happy hours that draw us back over and over again. In addition to grabbing a cocktail and catching our favorite game, you can also always count on catching your favorite shirtless male bartenders in (what else) their boxers! Combining their smoldering looks and love for giving back to the community, the crew at Boxers are kicking off 2019 with the Boxers 2019 Calendar!
“It is with great joy and gratitude that we have once again teamed up with our LGBTQ ally, Smirnoff Vodka, for the 2019 calendar,” says Boxers’ Bob Fluet. He owns the popular chain along with Rob Hynds. “Their generous sponsorship makes the annual project possible.” This year’s Boxers 2019 Calendar benefits “Out My Closet”, a non-profit organization that empowers displaced and under resourced LGBTQ youth with clothing grants, counseling services and other outreach and educational programs.
A naughty but nice behind-the-scenes look at the making of the annual calendar is on Youtube:
Photographed by Leandro Justen, all the men featured in the 2019 calendar are current bartenders from Boxer’s four locations. While there is definitely plenty of eye candy, the calendar goes to a very worthy cause. Among those featured in (and out!) of their boxers are Zack from the Hell’s Kitchen location, Rafael from Chelsea, Carlos from Washington Heights, and Austin from Philadelphia. These men graciously volunteered their time (and bodies!) to help shine the spotlight on LGBTQ youth and Out My Closet.
The Boxers 2019 Calendar is available for free, while supplies last, at all Boxers locations. Visit Boxers’ website: https://boxersphl.com/ or “Out My Closet”: http://www.outmycloset.org/
