Thursday the 11th of January 2018 was finally the Grand opening of “Restaurant Burlesque” in Amsterdam after rescheduling many times their opening date. It started already with an invitation in our mailbox with a beautiful key to their Burlesque restaurant in an envelope making us very curious what to expect.
When we arrived on the red carpet outside in the famous gay Reguliersdwarsstraat you could already feel the vibe this was gonna be a special night. Pink In Our Lives was on the guestlist and when we walked inside one of the owners Bert Nijhof greeted us with a warm-felt hello. And even though it was the first time we met each other in person, he recognized us and made us feel immediately welcome. Like this every owner or boss should take an example for when you invite guests to make them feel at home. Already a good start of the evening. (Off course the sweet welcome drink helps always too ?)
Many guests arrived in this wonderful decorated interior with beautiful velvet walls, wooden bar and stairs. Sexy drawings on the brick walls and ceiling made the guests bargain more than they expected. 
The place was packed with beautiful dressed up people. Straight people, gays, lesbians and everything in between were there to experience a special evening. Dutch celebrities amongst Gerard Joling, May Day, Chiel Harten and Alex Klaassen were there to show their support and to enjoy what the evening was bringing us.
And DAMN…..We only just got a preview of the food and a part of the show, but it made us craving for more!!! For eating at the opening it was only fingerfood made by chef Alejandro Fabrice, but beautifully dressed on a plate and very tasty. #foodporn
For the show we got four beautiful dancers Jenice de Haan, Zeni Winter, Jeffrey Stuut, and Terence Bempah and gorgeous fishy dragqueen Janey Jacké or like she wants to be called “Miss JJ”. 
We know Janey for some years now and we know she can bring an act, but tonight Christina Aquilera in the movie Burlesque eat your heart out!!! Janey brought three numbers and her last medley with the 4 dancers was amazing. She rocked the stage, bar, dancefloor and everywhere she could move tonight. We love Miss JJ ?? 
The choreography from Byron Werts made the crowd gone wild and the costumes of Belgian designer Dirk Vervoort were a feast for the eyes. Many straight men looked their eyes ? out and couldn’t believe this gorgeous performer is actually a man in a dress. Kudos to Miss JJ to pull this off!!!
Thanks Restaurant Burlesque for having us and showing what the audience can expect. We definitely will come back to see the full show and have dinner. If u are in Amsterdam, please book this great night out. Every Friday and Saturdays they are open for the diner shows and off course everybody is welcome too for just having a drink ?or eating ? in this great interior too from Monday till Thursday
