On the very early morning of the 2nd of September, the wonderful news reached the world thanks to social media. The Belgium Showgirl Miss Vanessa Van Cartier had WON the very important pageant Miss Continental 2019 in Chicago USA.
We think Facebook and Instagram EXPLODED, because of this wonderful news! Slowly by slowly pictures and other amazing footage crossed the ocean to her home country and to the rest of the world.
Vanessa Van Cartier has for many years conquered and dominated the spotlight and stages, all over Europe and abroad. On local base she attached her name, and artistry to Showqueen group The Sparkling Diamonds, but also working as a free lance artist performing on large scale and AGAIN huge stages.
In the past Vanessa Van Cartier performed also at ShowQueen spectacle “Lost in Music”, several “Mas’kara” concepts and recently at Antwerp Pride and Amsterdam Pride again! Off course not to forget for many years, she was a exclusive performing host at the exuberant “Elysium” in Mykonos. Stardom all over the place. Greece loved and adored the Pearl from La Bella Italia!
Tiara’s, Crown Jewels and Sashes forever should be hashtags behind her name.. Winning the title for “Miss Travestie Belgium”, the title and crown for “Miss of all Misses” in 2010 a very important 10 yearly returning pageantry in Belgium and many more.
Last April Vanessa Van Cartier had won the prestigious Showqueen Awards, another famous and VERY important Award to win in Belgium. I think she just won every single award there was on that outstanding night. Not for best newcomer, but than she is no longer a newcomer, but mainly a well known Queen from the artist life in Belgium.
In May, one month later, again in the early mornings, a post popped out on her Facebook. “I kept it a secret, I wanted to participate to Miss Europe Continental in Lyon and wanted to leave Belgium with a free mind…ladies and gentleman, it was all worth it. I am Miss Europe Continental 2019. Dreams come true…”, she wrote.
Lyon has the Miss Continental Europe for several years now.
Surrounded by her crew and very close friends, La Cartier secretly, went to Lyon. So CHECK on the dazzling second stunning tiara, sash, and title. Eventually this pageant could be a next step the Miss Continental in Chicago.
Behind the scenes La Cartier and her wonderful team bundled their forces, in how to present herself at the famous Continental pageant in Chicago. Naming team Continental Europe Paulo De Sousa and his husband Christophe Chiavazza, Stevie Mays (Vanessa’s husband) and many more names to drop.
The bathing suits, my God, Gianni Versace must have given his approval from his design cloud above, on the black bathing suit with golden belts, and the epic Versace colorful one, with gold en yellow. Medusa etc. The hair, Barbarella & semi Dalida realness! Sexy but always presenting herself as a lady, and again with a flair and dignity! I think Victoria Secret should book La Cartier for the season to come, becoming a V/S Angel, Yasss!

Vanessa for us is a woman that has the ability to make time stand still, but also a person from the “moment.” Not only looks, who are always dazzlingly beautiful, but also the full package of an artist, a pose, lipsync-tastic and THE stamina from a Star!
That did the job in Chicago. La Cartier showed herself as the artist that she is. Highlighting the Gladys Knight act, who for us is attached to her!!! In a gorgeous powdery-pink-feathered-gown, with a short blond hairdo, standing behind her microphone. She owns that completely.
In the first round La Cartier graced the stage in a beautiful white embroided and pearl stitched gown showing her legs, with strings of pearls attached on the back cleavage. Including the higher then life, bee-hived hairdo designed by hairdresser John Gravemaker.
For the final, a daaaaaaazling glass fringe gown was especially designed for her by designer Joshuana Daponte. A famous name all over the world, as we speak. Revealing this from underneath a luscious silk cloak on stage!
Cher will be SO jealous of the opal and gold glass fringes each 40 cm long twirling & sparkling around the beautiful body from Vanessa, as she graced the Continental stage.
As her final act concluded the night in Chicago, that one must have nailed the results.Posing as a Greek/Roman Goddess in a white draped gown, standing behind the microphone. Vanessa dismantled herself from every single object, attached on her beautiful body!
The emotional song “Who you are…”by Jessy J couldn’t be even more moving in every single word of the song. Just a laser beam spotlight on our Queen, Vanessa took of the lashes, eliminating the raven black wig, her makeup went off with the facial tissues, and finally the gown also went down. Revealing her beautiful body in just a small simple garment.
We have seen this act performed at the Showqueen Awards 2019 by Vanessa and she took the house down again in Chicago. We can only imagine the impact by this act beyond the borders of Belgium. To disrobe every single body object and actually show who you are, as the song says by Jessy J, that takes a lot of courage. Vanessa on stage has no boundaries and also that is a secret she handles like no other, and a way how she gets underneath your skin and in your heart.
In the very early hours of Monday morning the second of September, the verdict fell. James Flint the official starter from Miss Continental gave us the final word!

Seeing Vanessa’s responding the impact of the moment dazzled her pureness as a person. This is so real!!! Our Vanessa has WON this very important pageant, and put her name on the list as the 40th winning Queen of this title. We are very curious what will evolve from this title and how Vanessa Van Cartier will continue her steps from this moment on.
