WILL AYRTON BE MISTER GAY BELGIUM 2016?

A new year, a new name!!! It is time again as we showed you in February for a new edition of Mister Gay Belgium (formerly known as Mister Gay Flanders). The twelve contestants for 2016 are known for the public and are looking forward to take over the reign of mister Gay Flanders 2015 Skelte Willems. They have their own message to bring out to the world and show why they should be named as Mister Gay Belgium 2016 at the 28^th of May in Antwerp. Time for PINK IN OUR LIVES to put all candidates separately in the spotlight and give a taste of who they are. The fifth candidate is Ayrton Hensmans.

Ayrton Hensmans is 18 years old, a student and is living in Betekom. He did his coming out in 2014 and his project is about “Acceptance on Social Media“.

WAS YOUR COMING OUT EASIER OR MORE DIFFICULT THAN EXPECTED AND WHY?

“It was more difficult than I thought. I had the feeling that I could tell it, but I never find the right moment to came out”.

WHO IS YOUR BIG IDOL/SEX SYMBOL OR GREAT EXAMPLE AND WHY?

“Beyoncé, because she is not afraid to be herself. Besides that she is also a real beautiful lady”.

WHY IS YOUR THEME/PROBLEM SO IMPORTANT?

“There have to come an end to cyberbullying, especially towards coming out. Just let everybody be themselves, whenever they want. It is never a nice feeling to get bullied or stalked, especially when it’s anonymous. It could be one of your best friends, who send these messages”.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST AND WORST QUALITY?

“My best quality is being creative”.

“My worst quality is gullible”.

TELL US A SECRET ABOUT YOURSELF THAT NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOU?

“When my mother is cooking pasta, I already take a bowl of raw pasta for myself to eat before she finished the meal”.

WHAT WILL YOUR FUTURE LOOK LIKE IN TEN YEARS?

“Making a beautiful world trip and also to do good wherever I can”.
