The Golden Twelve for 2018 are known for the public and they have their own message to bring out. Time to show and present themselves why they should be named as Mister Gay Belgium 2018 at the Finale Show at 2nd of June in Antwerp. Time for PINK IN OUR LIVES to have all candidates one on one in our spotlight and show you who they really are. Get surprised, intrigued and excited. The fifth candidate is Falko De Bolster!!!

Falko is 23 years old and lives in Berlaar. He is study advisor in Madrid. He did his coming out in 2010 and his project for Mister Gay Belgium is about “Breaking the stereotype image in society”.
How did u find about this election and what does Mister Gay Belgium for you?
“Followers/fans on my social networks convinced me to have a look at Mister Gay Belgium and the projects they have been working on. I think it’s a great way to share my story and show my support towards the LGBT problematics”.
What does your topic/Campaign stand for and how will u bring your message known to the outside world?
“My campaign is about resolving discrimination in and outside the LGBT community, everyone deserves to be unique. I want to gather all sorts of personalities, organize activities and help them realize that it’s okay to live in a world of different colors”.
To whom did you do your first coming out and how?
“My parents heard rumors that I was seeing a guy and asked me if it was true. I told them the truth and came out of the closet when I was 15”.
What advice would you give to young gays that did not come out of the closet yet?
“It’s difficult to give general advice to young guys that haven’t come out of the closet yet. Coming out is a personal experience which can be very scary and asks for a more personal approach. I think it’s important you communicate with people that you trust; ask for their support through this journey of self-acceptance. The first step is to understand that you are completely normal. Your sexual preference is just a small part of the beautiful person you are”.
Who is your superhero now and why?
“Kygo is my super hero. He is a brilliant producer, composer and pianist. Talented people like him inspire others to be more creative. Isn’t that a beautiful super power to possess”?
How do u feel that there still countries like Indonesia, where it is illegal to kiss somebody of the same-sex, let alone be gay?
“It’s sad that nowadays there are still countries that punish people for having a different sexual preference, I hope that one day they realize that it’s not a choice, we are born like this. We must help the world to show more tolerance towards differences. Love shouldn’t be illegal”.
