A new year, a new name!!! It is time again as we showed you in February for a new edition of Mister Gay Belgium (formerly known as Mister Gay Flanders). The twelve contestants for 2016 are known for the public and are looking forward to take over the reign of mister Gay Flanders 2015 Skelte Willems. They have their own message to bring out to the world and show why they should be named as Mister Gay Belgium 2016 at the 28th of May in Antwerp. Time for PINK IN OUR LIVES to put all candidates separately in the spotlight and give a taste of who they are. The tenth candidate is Lenz Borgenon.
Lenz Borgenon is 23 years old and is living in Boechout. He did his coming out in 2008 and his project is about “the LGBT community with a disability”.
WAS YOUR COMING OUT EASIER OR MORE DIFFICULT THAN EXPECTED AND WHY?
“It went better than expected. Off course I did my coming out to my closest friends and everyone else that I knew followed after that. I told my family last , I waited till I had my first boyfriend.”
WHO IS YOUR BIG IDOL/SEX SYMBOL OR GREAT EXAMPLE AND WHY?
“Beyoncé and Lady gaga. Beyoncé 
is a gorgeous woman with a very beautiful voice. And Lady Gaga 
supports our LGBT community, which I find great and amazing!!!”.
WHY IS YOUR THEME/PROBLEM SO IMPORTANT?
“Already the LGBT community has it difficult to accept themselves or find their own path, so let alone if you have a disability. People with a disability get pushed back too in society and everyone deserves a voice and platform!”
WHAT IS YOUR BEST AND WORST QUALITY?
“My best quality is ALWAYS being on time at a meeting, a gathering or at work…”.
“My worst quality is having fastfood after fitness”.
TELL US A SECRET ABOUT YOURSELF THAT NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOU?
“I have slept with a girl ( meaning I had sex ;p)”.
WHAT WILL YOUR FUTURE LOOK LIKE IN TEN YEARS?
“A home, garden and off course my own future prince on a white horse. Plus I like to have opened my own HORECA business.”
